Election Burnout and Socialism

Ok... I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new job. I'm burning out on the TV coverage of the "election." I say #1 it's a paid for presidency if Hussein wins and #2 I am ever so thankful I matured and grew up and didn't go into journalism. I can't watch my soaps during work so it's a little limited in my watching ;D Seriously though, the news is a bit much with election and market coverage. I want some days to be like NoDaks and bury my head in the northern prairie ground and say it'll all be fine, "We're drilling baby drilling!"

My next complaint is that our children and any who took government after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the USSR. (for you youngsters who are saying huh? USSR is what Russia used to be a part of and with Putin in charge, one wonders if he doesn't want it back. The Berlin Wall was a symbol and reality of the communism of Europe)

What do I mean by condemning those post-Wall generations? I was scared of nukes long ago growing up. (still but that's another issue) The Commies were the worst! Socialism isn't how we wanted to live. Move forward just 20 years and look how far BACKWARD we have come from the mentality of socialism being not so good. It's now what BHusseinO wants for each and every one of us freedom loving Americans to live with.

What? You're shocked or lost? Didn't have a good government teacher or class in high school or college? Gee I'm so surprised. SERIOUSLY Folks! Remember my talking about Germany and it's 19%... they STLL pay a premium for health care. "Spread the wealth"?? BHO is doing nothing but shouting from his pedastool that he's going to invoke socialism on each and everyone of us. What happened to coming to this country and working hard to succeed? Instead we're going to have to give to people who won't get off their arse to make an honest living? When it's spoken from the pedastool, all seem to be in awe and not willing to do a little work. Let me get some definitions of SOCIALISM. Maybe you can learn something from Joe the Plumber and me?

Oh while on the education (or lack of) rant... We are NOT part of a democracy. While all votes do count, they don't directly count. Democracy would give us all a vote that goes in one pot to the president. Instead it's in a state pot that then is thrown in to the national pot of the 535 voters who cast their votes in December.

From BrainyQuote.com's site: Socialism is a theory or system of social reform which contemplates a complete reconstruction of society, with a more just and equitable distribution of property and labor. In popular usage, the term is often employed to indicate any lawless, revolutionary social scheme. See Communism, Fourierism, Saint-Simonianism, forms of socialism.

1. A theory or policy of social organization which aims at or advocates the ownership and control of the means of production, capital, land, property, etc., by the community as a whole, and their administration or distribution in the interests of all.
2. A state of society in which things are held or used in common.

Interesting article for reading: http://www.conservative-resources.com/definition-of-socialism.html Actually lots of good points.

While searching for a good definition other than "spreading the wealth", giving to those who won't do more, and so on, I found something I hadn't thought about before. Maybe homeschooling is a better choice? Schools are a socialist experience. Everyone being taught the same thing to get the same outcome, Good grades. If Little Man didn't have the issues he had, I may be back on the homeschooling bandwagon for myself. As I keep telling people with the schools, and this is where the socialism part should have slapped me upside the head.... Teachers have to teach to the Lowest Common Denominator. Thus, have the kid with 99 IQ and the kid with the 190 IQ in the classroom, 199 is BORED OUT OF HIS GOURD so that everyone can learn at the 99 level.

I had more gathered thoughts to share but have lost all hope at this point in my ramblings. I'm disgusted by all the election "coverage" out there. Saw a political cartoon the other day... Poor Joe The Plumber had been run over with tire tracks on him. A tank with MEDIA on the side and an BHusseinO sticker on the back had run him down. The bubble said "So that's what it means to be in the tank." Made me laugh, yet want to scream at the idiots who claim to be "non-partisan." Ever watch Hardball or Maher this year? I don't suggest being a conservative going on there due to life expectancy rates dropping badly. They eat up and chew the conservatives!

Have a super Sunday... maybe I'll be out here posting more. :) It's going to be a bumpy road!

Quote for Today

It comes from Dickens... If only I'd seen it sooner, I could be screaming it louder! :)

"Ride on! Rough-shod if need be, smooth-shod if that will do, but ride on! Ride on over all obstacles, and win the race!" – Charles Dickens
